Midfielder Shaun McWilliams is looking forward to the start of the pre-season fixtures at Sileby Rangers on Saturday.
“Pre-season is always tough but it’s good to get the first two weeks out the way," he said.
“We feel fit, the team is looking strong and now it’s about getting minutes on the pitch.
“We need to gel as a unit on the pitch and pre-season is a big part of that.
“There are a lot of new faces around but in football that is nothing new and it doesn’t take long for the new players to come out of their shell.
“I’m a bit older now and I maybe meet and talk to the new boys a bit more than I would a few years ago, I think I’ve played enough games now, I have a bit of experience and I feel like I am very much a part of this team and I am able to have a say.
“Last season I was able to play more games, I was injury free and that really helped me to gain more confidence.
“I can still do more but this year I definitely want to stay injury free again and make myself available every single week.”
