New signing Aaron McGowan has been speaking about his move to Sixfields.
The 24 year old right back can't wait to get started, and says he was impressed by the chance to work with Jon Brady.
“I spoke to the manager and I got a good feeling straight away,” he said.
“I like how he approached things, he told me what he would like from me if I signed and his ambitions for the season and I just felt it was something I really wanted to be a part of.
“I think it’s the right time for me to come back down to England and test myself back in this division.
“Everybody knows what happen here last season but we want to build a foundation here to try and go for promotion and then stay at the next level before we can go again.
“I can’t wait to get going, the manager is really trying to build something here and I just really wanted to be a part of that.
“I’m only 24 but I feel I can bring a lot of experience to the club, I’ve played over 200 league games and I’ve also been a captain. The manager spoke to me about being an organiser and a leader, I am someone who doesn’t accept not wanting to go out and get three points in every game and I want to bring that mentality into the dressing room.”
