Defender Ali Koiki is delighted to make the move to Sixfields.
Koiki impressed while playing as a trialist in the midweek pre-season game against Nottingham Forest, so much so that by the end of the week Jon Brady had moved to complete his signing.
“I’m happy to be here, I’m glad everything is all sorted and I can’t wait to get started,” he said.
“I thought the game on Tuesday went well despite the result, it was good to play on the pitch here and it was great to have the fans in as well.
“Its been quite a good week, it’s been easy to settle in with the lads and I am going to get to know them much better now they are my teammates. I already knew Benny Ashley-Seal but it’s good to get to know all the new faces as well.
“I know this level, I was on loan at Swindon which was a good experience for me and I’m hoping to get that here too.
“I’m a left-back predominantly but wherever the manager needs me to play I will. I like to defend but get forward as well and I can play further up the field on the left hand side if needed.
“I know I will have to battle for my place, there is healthy competition throughout the squad and hopefully we can all push each other to improve.”
