Jon Brady previews Saturday’s final home pre-season friendly fixture against Birmingham City and says there is a definite area of focus to the work the squad are undertaking in training.
“We are working hard in training to try and get that fluidity into the team,” he said.
“We want to work off each other’s strengths, there were some good things against Forest, we are building and things are going in the right direction.
“It was a terrific atmosphere here on Tuesday night and I think the players fed off that. I’m expecting a similar type of test from Birmingham and hopefully it will be another good game for the supporters to come and watch."
Brady has meanwhile provided a squad update with Benny Ashley-Seal having picked up a knock in midweek and a number of the squad still self-isolating.
“We will assess how Benny is and one or two others and the most important thing for me at the moment is that we get through with a clean bill of health.
“It might be frustrating but I think we have got a duty of care and above everything else I’d rather them be safe and well.
“We want to make sure everybody is doing the right thing and that’s why those players who need to have been self-isolating but we will hope to have them back with us soon."
Brady concluded with an update on trialists Josh Debayo and Ali Koiki.
“Josh has left us but Ali has come into train with us for a few days and I thought he did well on Tuesday night.
“We are still looking to add to the squad but we are not going to force anything.”
