Northampton Town striker Harry Smith has completed a transfer to Leyton Orient.
26 year old Smith made 28 starts and 22 substitute appearances for the Cobblers, scoring eleven goals in his two years at Sixfields.
Smith found his chances at the club limited, ending last season on loan at Motherwell, and manager Jon Brady said the move was in the best interests of all parties.
“I think the move works for everyone concerned,” he said.
“Harry is a lovely lad and he moves with our best wishes and I think a change of scene will do him good.
“He has been at the club a couple of years and possibly hasn’t played as many games as he would have liked and he is at that stage of his career where he will benefit from playing more regularly.
“We wish Harry every success at his new club while, from our point of view, we continue our work to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.”
