Northampton Town winger Dylan Connolly is enjoying pre-season.
While he admits the work has been tough, he says pre-season is an important time for any squad, and is looking forward to the pre-season fixtures getting under way at Sileby Rangers on Saturday.
"It has been tough but pre-season needs to be done, you need to get the hard work in to your legs and it gives you a platform to build on," he said.
"The training facilities at Moulton are really good, they are very impressive. There is everything we need there and although it has been hard work, I have really enjoyed it so far.
"The first friendly is coming up, at Sileby on Saturday. We are really looking forward to seeing the supporters again and to be back playing in front of a crowd will be great, it is only pre-season of course but it will be good to get some minutes in to the legs and to just see and hear supporters again.
"When the first game arrives, the tempo to your training week is there and then the rest of the games follow and that really gives you a focus to training and a shape to your week.
"I have settled in at the club really well. The lads here are sound, everyone gets on well, it is a good group and we can't wait to get going."
