KEITH CURLE LOOKING TO BUILD ON RECENT PERFORMANCES

The views of the Cobblers boss ahead of the visit from Wigan Athletic

Cobblers boss Keith Curle says there have been plenty of positives to take from two away performances this week as he prepares for Saturday’s home game with Wigan Athletic.

“Some might say that one point from two games might not be a lot to shout about on the face of it but we’ve had two performances with lots of positives,” he said.

“There are still areas where we can improve but the performance levels this week have been good and we know that there is still more to come from this group.

“The clean sheet at Fleetwood was very pleasing and we created the best two chances in the game. We’ve had a limited amount of training time with the new players but they have all integrated themselves into the group very well.

“It’s a big game against Wigan, they had a bad result on Tuesday night but they were unbeaten in their last five games before that.

“They will be hurting from that result and looking to make amends so we know we are in for a difficult game.”
