KEITH CURLE KEEN TO GET BACK IN ACTION AGAINST HIGH FLYING IMPS

The Cobblers boss looks ahead to Saturday

Cobblers boss Keith Curle is keen to be back in action as he previews Saturday’s trip to Lincoln City. Northampton Town's last two matches have been postponed, and Curle is keen to get back to playing against a high flying side who he has a lot of respect for.

“Lincoln have had a good level of consistency this season,” he said.

“They have had a couple of years now to adjust to this level, the fundamentals of how they want to play have changed under Michael Appleton and they are reaping the rewards of that. Our challenge is to go there and upset them.

“It was another frustration for us on Tuesday night after making the long journey but it is something we just have to deal with and get on with it.

“We were mentally and physically well prepared so there is a level of frustration but we quickly have to re-adjust our focus.

“The players had work to do from home on Wednesday and they have been bright and breezy in training.

“We’re ready for Saturday, we’re well prepared and we are looking forward to the run of games we’ve got coming up.”
