Cobblers boss Keith Curle has provided a fitness update on Scott Pollock and Joseph Mills as well as the current contract situation surrounding Caleb Chukwuemeka.

“Joseph and Scott are progressing very well,” he said.

“Scott has been a difficult one because he is still getting some pain and discomfort and we need to get the balance right with him.

“We are trying to push him and he is working very hard, but we need to find the level of what discomfort Scott needs to push through and what pain might cause him more problems.

"He is doing what he can, and if we find the balance right then he would be able to move forward quickly.

“Joseph is back field based training and he just needs minutes on the training ground and some game time too."

On the subject of Caleb Chukwuemeka, the Cobblers boss said:

“We have got good dialogue with Caleb’s agent and we are pleased with where we are at.

“He’s still under contract which we want to upgrade and I think he is well on course for where we want him to be.

“In terms of the transfer window we have progressed a few targets and we are where we want to be.

“We have irons in the fire but as I’ve said before we will only bring in players if they are the right fit for us and that means we are in the market for good players. When you are in the market for good players, you have to be patient and you have to do your work.”
