This weekend, a key member of our esports team, Ryan Jones, ActualEmperor41, will take part in an elions tournament where he could get the chance to represent England in esports.
Building up to the tournament, we caught up with Ryan to see how he is feeling.
How do you feel going into the elions FIFA tournament this weekend?
I feel confident going into the tournament this weekend but nervous at the same time. Exciting nerves though. From my last performance in qualifiers it shows I can compete with the best when I put my mind to it and play well.
How would you feel if you were given the opportunity to represent England in esports?
If I was given the opportunity to represent England it would be a once in a lifetime moment for me. To represent your country is up there with the best things to accomplish whether it be on the real pitch or the virtual one!
What FIFA player in your team do you think will be your key player this weekend?
My 94 team of the week Cristiano Ronaldo will be my most important as he was in the last qualifiers. He’s strong, quick and can finish anything. If he performs I’ll stand a good chance!
Who’s your favourite England player (past or present)? My favourite England past or present player has to be David Seaman! Maybe because he used to play for arsenal (who I support) but he was an exceptional goalkeeper for both club and even more so country!
