COMMUNITY TRUST RECEIVE ROSE OF NORTHAMPTONSHIRE AWARD!

Community Trust recognised for work during the Covid-19 pandemic

15 January 2021

The Northampton Town Football Club Community Trust have been awarded the Rose of Northamptonshire Award!

This award is in recognition of the club's work within the community throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

The Rose of Northamptonshire award identifies and expresses thanks to those groups or individuals who have worked tirelessly to keep the Northamptonshire communities safe, and the businesses moving during the global COVID-19 crisis.

While the pandemic is still ongoing, Northamptonshire County Council and its Leader, as well as the formal institutions of the High Sherriff's Office and Lord Lieutenancy feel it is important to recognise that many across the County have committed themselves to response and relief efforts since the beginning of the outbreak. The award highlights those in every sector and locality of the County who have played a key role.

Winners of the award are nominated by the public and this allows all residents of Northamptonshire to show their appreciation and reflect on the hard work done by others.

The club's work during this pandemic has been wide and far ranging. Whether it be keeping communities in touch, tackling loneliness, paying supporters a socially distanced visit with the play off trophy (pictured), supporting local schools, setting engaging challenges or just reaching out, the club are proud of the role we continue to play.
