Mickel Miller played 45 minutes against Rochdale in midweek on his return from injury and caretaker boss Jon Brady is hoping the on-loan winger can build on that going into Saturday’s game at Swindon.
“Mickel could potentially play a bit longer this weekend but we won’t be taking any risks with him or any of the players,” he said.
“We are also monitoring Alan Sheehan and he is not a given for Saturday given he got through 90 minutes on Tuesday. We have to look after him.
“I think we are managing all the players really well. It’s a busy schedule but everybody is in the same boat. We want players to be as fit and as fresh as possible and we monitor their energy levels as part of the selection process.
“When you have a busy run of games you have to get the balance right with training and the most important thing is that we are at full tilt come Saturday.”
