The Cobblers caretaker boss looks ahead to Tuesday night's game

22 February 2021

Cobblers caretaker boss Jon Brady says his side will learn a lot from Saturday’s game against MK Dons.

Brady says there were so many positive aspects to take from the performance, and his team will develop better game management to deal with winning situations.

“We’ve had a good debrief on Saturday’s game and there was some really, really good stuff to come from it but for seven or eight minutes at the end we went away from the plan,” he said.

“It was only through sheer enthusiasm that several individuals went off-piste and that’s when you need other members of the team to rally.

“Our game management has to be better in those situations, we’ve spoken about that and I’m confident it will be going forward.

“With the way we played we are going to be in winning positions a lot more now and when we are we need to make sure we are in control.

“You need to understand those moments in games and when you get into a winning position make sure you are calm and composed.”
