TRUST OF PLAYERS AND STAFF ALLOWS JON BRADY TO TAKE A DIFFERENT VIEW OF GAMES

The caretaker manager looks ahead to Saturday

Caretaker manager Jon Brady decided to take a different view of Tuesday's game at Ipswich Town, and says that's something he might well continue to do, such is the level of trust he has in the players and coaching staff.

"I did something different at Ipswich, I went and sat up high in the stand to get an overview of the game," he said.

"I felt better that I could see an overview and that I could see things quickly from a tactical point of view. We had a radio link with Rico on the bench and with the work we have done with the players, there is already a big trust there.

"We have Rico, Sammo and Dan and I don't need to be on the touchline all the time. Everyone has got their role to play and we all know and understand what that is. I think for me, it is better for me to be up high getting an overview, with Sammo and Marc taking control in the technical area. I'm really pleased that I feel comfortable to do that after just seven days with the squad.

"The players have got on board and they are setting their own expectation levels. We have set them some challenges and targets and with the players setting their own expectation levels, they have responsibility to meet their own targets and they are taking that on board right now."
