JON BRADY LOOKING FOR FRONT FOOT PERFORMANCE

Caretaker manager can't wait for Saturday's game

11 February 2021

Cobblers caretaker boss Jon Brady previews Saturday’s home game with Burton Albion, and says he wants to see his side on the front foot.

“We will be on the front foot and our main focus has to be scoring goals,” he said.

“It’s obvious to everyone that we need goals and we will be doing everything to try and score on Saturday. It won’t be for the want of trying and we will be getting forward as much as we can, putting bodies into the box, putting crosses in and getting shots off.

“I unequivocally believe that there is enough in this group to keep the club in League 1 but we need to get more out of them.

“We had a good short sharp training session on Thursday and there was a real energy and enthusiasm. Everyone can’t wait for Saturday, there was a buzz about the group in training and we have to make sure we are all pulling in the right direction.

“Keith Curle did a fantastic job for this football club, getting promoted and he integrated a lot of academy players into the first team. I had a good relationship with him as did the players but the football world as it is things happen and you have to show resilience as a player when there is a change in manager.”
