Cobblers boss Keith Curle praised his side’s performance in Saturday’s draw away at Accrington.
“We caused Accrington some problems today, particularly in the first half but we didn’t quite have enough to break the deadlock,” he said.
“We got on the front foot from the start and that really set the tone for us.
“Defensively we were solid and we looked good going forward. You have to give Accrington some credit as well they got some good blocks in and defended well.
“Testament and credit to the players, they took on board the information we gave them in the week and we did a good job of nullifying a free flowing and free scoring team.
“We’ve got nothing to be scared of in this league and we know what the challenge is for us. The players are taking that challenge head on and we go again now on Tuesday.”
