Northampton Town manager Keith Curle reflected on Tuesday's defeat at Blackpool.
“I didn’t think there was much in the game but the goals we gave away were soft,” he said.
“We got some good entries into the final third but then our delivery or our pass selection was poor and we need to improve on our set pieces.
Asked about the absence of Benny Ashley-Seal from the squad and Shaun McWilliams starting the game on the bench Curle said:
“Benny went over on his ankle in training on Saturday but he will be assessed on Thursday and we are hopeful he will be back in training later this week.
“We always knew it was going to be a tight encounter and we wanted Shaun’s energy to push us on in the last half an hour.
“The way we conceded the goals made it a difficult evening for us but we will get better, Saturday will be another challenge, you always get a competitive game against Accrington and we will need to stand up to be counted.”
