Defender Sid Nelson says he is making good progress on his return from injury.
Nelson has been missing since a knee ligament injury picked up at the start of September, and after a difficult few weeks, he is very much on the road to recovery.
"I am feeling much more positive now," he said. "I am starting to crack on with a lot more work and I am excited to be on the stage of the process.
"It was tough to come to terms with the injury in the early weeks. It took a while and I had some time away to do that. It was really tough to take, you want to make a mark with a new club after signing and it was hard mentally but you have to get to grips with it.
"The worst thing is that the incident when I was injured was so innocuous, no one was near me and for it to happen in training was really hard to take but it is what it is.
"You have to come to terms with it, and I have done that by setting small goals and targets along the way and by ticking them off as we go. I am where I need to be and where the medical staff think I should be at this stage and that is good news.
"I am really missing playing and it is tough but you have to be positive and have a positive mindset and my aim is to come back stronger, bigger and fitter than I was before. That's my challenge.
"In the last few weeks I have been back in with the boys full time, just being around the changing room and being part of it again and that is a big help. It feels great to be back involved, even if it is just seeing the lads each day, it makes a big difference.
"You can't move forward too quickly, you have to take it one step at a time but I am where I need to be and I can start picking up my cardio work soon and that's the next target.
"I always felt the squad clicked this season straight away, I can see things are working well and long may that continue.
"Watching from afar I have been really impressed with the lads. I have never had a long term injury before so things are different for me at the moment but I am working to be back as soon as I possibly can and in the meantime I am enjoying supporting the lads."
