Jon Brady was a very happy man as the Cobblers became the first away team to win at Exeter City since March with a 2-1 victory on Tuesday night.
“It’s nice to break a record, that’s what we came here to achieve tonight and I think it’s a really strong win for us,” he said.
“It was important that we unbalanced them and made them feel uncomfortable and I thought we did that in the first half. Both teams found it difficult against the wind and we did in the second half.
“We showed our resilience and character again and everyone played their part in this result.
“Both teams had some good chances but overall I felt we deserved the win and it’s great to come away with the three points.
“The group is growing in confidence week in week out and to show that strength in character again tonight was really important."
