SUPPORTING THE WORK OF THE JE3 FOUNDATION

Remembering former manager Justin Edinburgh and promoting the foundation set up in his memory

18 December 2021

Although our game has been postponed, Northampton Town is still proudly supporting JE3 Day.

Now in its third year, the campaign launched by the Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation spotlights rates of cardiac arrest—30,000 per year in the UK—and the need for increased access to life-saving defibrillators and CPR skills.

Proudly joining Leyton Orient, Tottenham Hotspur and Newport County, each with a special connection to former player and manager Justin Edinburgh, JE3 Day activities include raising of awareness of the foundation's work.

In conversation with participating clubs, Foundation CEO Charlie Edinburgh described the campaign as “An opportunity to continue to connect with the football clubs and supporters that were like a second family to my Dad. We’re calling on our football family to help change outcomes in the face of cardiac arrest by learning CPR, and by helping us get more defibrillators into the community. Your donations and petition signatures are the game changer.”

An estimated 75,000 people now have access to an Automated External Defibrillator donated in Justin Edinburgh’s name via the Foundation’s defibrillator donation scheme.

3 easy ways to support JE3 Day:

1. Donate online to JE3 Foundation.
2. Sign the petition for Justin’s Law to legally mandate access to Automated External Defibrillators in all health and sports facilities in the UK.
3. Sign-up to the New Year CPR workshop. Enter ‘CPR’ in the message field to reserve your place. Dates and venues to be released in January.
