Northampton Town Football Club have made an open invitation to any supporters who wish to meet up for a walk and a catch up on Wednesday afternoon (December 29th) at Sixfields at 1pm.
The idea came from the supporters representative on the club's board of directors, Tom Cliffe.
"Christmas and New Year can be a tough time of year for some people," he explained.
"I know from looking at social media a number of people have found this year particularly difficult, and with the recent matches having been postponed they have not been able to meet up with their friends at matches.
"I felt it would be a good idea for anyone who wanted to, to meet up for a simple chat, catch up and a walk at 1pm on Wednesday.
"There is no set agenda, no need to book on, it is just an informal catch up to give those who want a chance to catch up and have a chat. If you wish to attend, please just pop along.
"Anyone can join us for as little or as much of a walk as they wish, this is all just about connecting and catching up."
Chairman Kelvin Thomas will also be taking part in the walk.
Anyone who wants to take part should please meet outside the main reception at Sixfields Stadium at 1pm on Wednesday.
