Cobblers boss Jon Brady conceded his side were not at their best during Saturday’s home defeat to Rochdale and says his team have plenty to work on, but it has been a decent start to the season.
“There were a few things that contrived to the loss and I don’t think we were at our sharpest today,” he said.
“Rochdale’s second goal wasn’t off-side and we have to defend that better. We huffed and puffed to get back in it and the third was on the break but again we have to do better with that.
“We pride ourselves on our organisation and tactically we needed to be better as well as being better on the ball.
“Six points from three games is not a bad start but we’ve got to bounce back from this. Rochdale are a good side but we need to keep trying to improve.”
