Jon Brady said he took many positives as he reflected on Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup second round tie against AFC Wimbledon.
The tie looked destined for a penalty shoot-out until Anthony Hartigan’s long range strike in stoppage time clinched a late, late win for the League 1 outfit.
“Jon knows he probably should have saved it but we won’t dwell on it,” he said.
“We moved the ball well and that’s the way we want to play, we just need to put the ball in the back of the net.
“Danny and Kion lead the line well but probably didn’t get their rewards they deserved.
“It’s a frustrating scoreline but the performance was much more in line with the way we want to play. Goals will come we’ve just got to keep putting the ball in the right areas.”
