JON BRADY PREVIEWS SATURDAY'S TRIP TO CRAWLEY TOWN

The views of the Cobblers boss

Cobblers boss Jon Brady previews Saturday’s trip to Crawley Town.

“They are a side that are definitely dangerous going forward but they’ve shown that they can concede and it’s an opportunity for us to really put another marker down,” he said.

“I saw them against Salford where they went a goal down and showed tremendous fight to come back and win 2-1. Their manager is always very open and honest in his interviews, and I think that’s refreshing to see."

Looking back on Tuesday night, Brady added “We played at a good level against AFC Wimbledon, and I felt we controlled the game and having watched the game again it has just re-emphasised what I thought, that we were strong out of possession and aggressive in possession. We had a lot of purpose in what we did but we didn’t score, and the game sometimes is down to fine margins.

“If we keep putting the ball in the right areas like we did on Tuesday night it will come for us we just need a bit more quality in the final third.

“We believe we can still keep improving and get a lot better in what we do and how we do it. We’ve got that belief in the group, there will be times where we will change our shape but at the moment, I feel we are getting stronger.

“We are flexible and adaptable in what we do, and you need to be that in football. We’ve got a certain way we want to play and do things but there has also got to be that flexibility there as well.

“We are still growing as a group but even when we do adapt and change our principles remain the same.”
