Earlier this week, members of the first team squad surprised some of our vulnerable fans with a phone call to check in on them.
As part of the EFL’s Day of Action the squad decided to call some vulnerable fans who may have been struggling throughout the lockdown and pandemic due to living alone and being isolated. Caretaker Manager Jon Brady, Goalkeeper Coach Dan Watson and players Sam Hoskins, Ryan Watson and Michael Harriman all took part in the phone calls and enjoyed speaking to some fans of over 60 years (in Jon Brady’s case!)
Brady said, “It is important to remind the fans that we are still here for them, we are together. We haven’t been able to see them this season and we know how tough that has been for the supporters, it has been tough for us as well and we cannot wait to be able to welcome them all back next season.”
