Jon Brady praised his players as he looked back on Tuesday night’s 3-0 home win over Ipswich Town, Ryan Watson’s 84th-minute strike adding to Peter Kioso’s brace in the first half.
“Everyone was at it tonight and it was a good win,” he said.
“It was a strong performance in the first half, we’ve worked hard on set pieces and the deliveries were on point.
“Like I said in my pre-match comments we can’t control other results but a win for us on Saturday and we could be just a point off safety.
“We can take heart from the performance tonight and hopefully we can keep the really important members of the squad fit going to Gillingham.
“Our home form is excellent but we need to make our away form count on Saturday now and do what we can to go there and get the win we need.
“The players are not giving in and we are going to keep doing everything we can to try and keep this club up.”
