Jon Brady praised the character of his players after goals from Ryan Edmondson and Fraser Horsfall saw the Cobblers come from two goals down to draw 2-2 away at Gillingham.
“The last fifteen minutes showed everybody just how hard we are fighting on behalf of our football club and we were very close to getting a winner,” he said.
“The players are giving everything they’ve got, at times we might not be the best but when we are driving forward and we are on the front foot playing with no fear they can take on anyone in this league.
“At 2-0 we were written off but we galvanised ourselves. Gillingham are relentless in what they do and I don’t think we were strong enough in defending set pieces at the start of the game.
“We stuck at it and in the end we found a way to stay in there.
“Next Saturday will be tough, Blackpool are a very good side but our home form is strong.”
