Jon Brady praised the character of his side as he reflected on Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers.
“It was another scrappy affair but we showed real fight and character again,” he said.
“It was a soft goal that we gave away but there after we played some good stuff, Fraser Horsfall had a good strike, we had one penalty but I felt we could and should have had another one too.
“Alex Jones did very well when he came on, Danny Rose's ankle is quite swollen at the moment and we will have to see how he is this week after treatment. Peter Kioso has got a problem with his groin at the moment and that’s why he didn’t play.
“It was courageous from Sam Hoskins to step up and take the penalty, he wanted to take it and he did what was needed.
“We are still above the line, there are five more games to go and we will keep fighting. We have to look at it today as another point gained and we need to keep moving forward. We’ve got to scrap and fight and then show our quality on top.
“My only motivation is to try and keep this club in League 1 and I will keep doing everything I can to try and achieve that.”
