Cobblers boss Keith Curle has challenged his squad to build on the win at Shrewsbury Town as he previews Saturday’s home game with Hull City.
“To get the first three points of the season on the board was excellent but now we need to build on that,” he said.
“Hull have a very good squad with a very good manager and they have got a lot of things stacked in their favour to be able to challenge at the top end of the division.
“We are very respectful in our approach to every opposition, we are always diligent in the work we do and ultimately we know we have to stop the opposition from playing to earn the right to play.
“We pride ourselves on the work we do, if we see a weakness we try to exploit it and if we see a strength we try to nullify it.”
