Cobblers boss Keith Curle says his side are improving and adjusting to life in League 1 as he previews Saturday’s trip to Wigan Athletic.
“I think both teams will be going out to try and get a win and every week and every game our mindset is how do we get three points,” he said.
“It’s a great league and we want that. As a football club we want to be in a league where we have to overachieve.
“We knew this season was going to be a challenge but from the outset we’ve accepted that honestly.
“We are improving in our play and that level of improvement is not always mirrored in terms of the results.
Curle has meanwhile confirmed striker Benny Ashley-Seal remains a fitness doubt after missing the midweek trip to Portsmouth.
“Benny is touch and go for Saturday. He has a slight muscle strain in his groin, it has settled down a bit since last weekend so fingers crossed he’ll be okay.”
