Cobblers boss Keith Curle says his side need to be a little bit smarter at both ends of the pitch if they are to turn more of their recent encouraging performances in to points.
“We need a little bit more craft not only in our defending but in our attacking play as well," he said.
“That will come the more games we play at this level and by grinding out results. Sometimes you need to fail to improve and the good players, when they lose, they learn.
“We were very dogged in our defending against Swindon and that made the first goal we conceded on Saturday even more disappointing.
“At the moment we are being tested and we are being stretched but we are not too far away.”
