KEITH CURLE - 'ONE RESULT CAN CHANGE THE LEAGUE TABLE'

The Cobblers boss looks ahead to Tuesday night

Cobblers boss Keith Curle says one result can change the look of the league table for either side as he previews Tuesday night’s home game with Swindon Town.

“Whoever wins on Tuesday night, the league table and mentality changes,” he said.

“We don’t shy away from the fact that we haven’t picked up the results that we wanted but we are learning and developing in every game we play.

“Swindon is a different challenge but every team has weaknesses and we need to exploit the opposition’s weaknesses a little bit better."

One player who won’t feature on Tuesday night is Joe Nuttall, with Curle confirming the on-loan striker has returned to Blackpool for rehabilitation after undergoing an operation.

“Joe Nuttall has had to have an operation and he’s returned to Blackpool for his rehabilitation," said the Cobblers boss.

“I’ve spoken to Joe to see how he is getting on both physically and mentally and he came across very positive. He’s been given an exercise routine and he will be back to see the specialist in a week or so for a check-up.”

Meanwhile Joseph Mills is set to see a specialist after limping off against Peterborough United a week and a half ago.

"Joseph is going to see another specialist on Tuesday," revealed Keith Curle. "He's had a scan but we need a second opinion so he's been sent for a referral."
