Cobblers boss Keith Curle says he will make changes for Tuesday night’s EFL Trophy tie with Southampton under 21s, kick-off 7.30pm, but his focus is very much on trying to win the game.
“We’ve got a competitive squad now and we will give some players minutes on Tuesday night,” he said.
“Every game that I play I want to win and that’s just the nature of me.
“There will be a few changes to the team but we’ve got players at the football club who are here for a reason and Tuesday night is an opportunity for them to go out and express themselves.
“It’s an opportunity for those players but the players know it’s not only in the games that they need to be impressing it’s in training as well.”
