UNDER 18S SET FOR STEVENAGE TEST

Jon Brady previews weekend EFL Youth Alliance clash

2 October 2020

Northampton Town U18s manager Jon Brady wants his team to ‘adapt to the conditions’ when they travel to Stevenage tomorrow in their third EFL Youth Alliance League fixture of the season.

Brady was speaking as his side trained at Moulton College ahead of the game.

He said, "The boys have to approach any game as well as they can.

"We have to adapt to the conditions, that’s part and parcel of football."

The squad has been hit with injuries and illnesses early in the campaign, with multiple players unavailable for their first two matches.

Brady added, "We still have five out so the squad is patchy at the moment, but that gives others an opportunity which is always a positive.

"We had a couple of trialists feature in our 1-0 friendly win against Birmingham City U18s and we might see them again on Saturday."
