KEITH CURLE - 'WE KNOW THE SIZE OF THE TASK AND WE WILL STICK TOGETHER'

Cobblers boss Keith Curle praised the resolve of his players as he reflected on Tuesday night’s 2-1 victory over Swindon Town, secured by first half goals from Christopher Missilou and Danny Rose.

“The first thing you look at after a game is the result and the scoreline which is pleasing,” he said.

“We showed our dominance in the first half and looked a threat, we were a little bit nervy in the second half but we defended our six yard box very well.

“I think it was right to freshen the team up tonight, it gave us an impetus in the first half, we were on the front foot and really we could have put the game to bed. We moved the ball well and caused Swindon problems.

“We had a belief in our game plan tonight and we stuck to it.

“I’m under no illusions the task ahead this season but we are going to stick together and that’s the important thing.”
