Cobblers boss Keith Curle had mixed feelings as he reflected on Saturday’s narrow 2-1 away defeat at Plymouth.
“It should have been an away point and it could have been three,” he said.
“We were very good with the ball and looked an attacking threat in the second half but in the vital moments in games you have got to do your job.
“We need to toughen up in our box and make sure everybody does their job. We are still learning and we are getting better.
“My job now is to instil some more confidence into the group, we’ve got to keep the belief because we’re not too far away.
“A win will give us confidence, there are a lot of positives to take out of the performance today and we will emphasise that to the players but on the other hand we don’t shy away from things and we will look at the goals we conceded, we have got to do certain things better but sometimes in football the simple things are the hardest.”
