KEITH CURLE'S POST MATCH REACTION

The views of the Cobblers boss

3 October 2020

Cobblers boss Keith Curle was a disappointed man as he reflected on Saturday’s 2-0 defeat away at Bristol Rovers.

“I was very disappointed with our decision making and quality in possession of the ball,” he said.

“We didn’t keep the ball well and when we did have it, we didn’t put it into the right areas.

“We didn’t defend well enough as a group and it was a cheap penalty to give away.

“I made the triple change to try and give us some more energy and give us a different focal point. Ricky has been out injured for three weeks and we wanted to give Jack some minutes.

“We are getting players back now which is good but those players need game time to get them up to speed.

“At 0-0 there was nothing in the game but the goal and the sending off changes it. We are a work in progress and the message to the fans is to stick with us.”
