Northampton Town Under 18s continued their good run of form as they beat Gillingham 2-0 away in Group C of the EFL Youth Alliance League on Saturday morning.
The Cobblers youth team deservedly secured consecutive wins thanks to late goals from Liam Cross (pictured) and Tommy Curry.
Their best opportunity of a goalless first half came when Jack Connor’s effort was cleared off the line and Miguel Ngwa’s rebound was denied.
In-form Cross scored a spectacular goal to break the deadlock with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining, his fourth in three matches.
Curry rounded the goalkeeper and found the far corner from a tight angle to win the game with five minutes to go.
