TRC HEALTH & HYGIENE SUPPORT FOOTBALL & EDUCATION PROGRAMME

Education programme supported by new club partner

5 November 2020

TRC Health & Hygiene are the new sponsors of the Northampton Town Football & Education programme.

The programme, which expanded to have a second education centre opened at St Crispins in 2018 by HRH The Princess Royal, offers students the opportunity to combine full-time post-16 education with a programme of work experience opportunities in a professional sports club environment. Students can combine studying for a Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Sport (Sports Coaching & Development) with training and playing for Northampton Town U19 Shadow Squad as an FEP Scholar.

The programme can also support individual students with gaining additional qualifications, such as in coaching and officiating. This can lead to multiple exit pathways that past students have gone on to, such as University, US Scholarships, Advanced Apprenticeships and employment.

In addition, two players have emerged from the programme to play for the first team, Scott Pollock and Ethan Johnston.

"We are delighted to welcome TRC Health & Hygiene as our new Football & Education programme partner," said Senior Sales Executive Lisa Hust.

"We are very proud of the work we do through our programme, both educationally and from a football point of view, and the support we offer local students.

"The programme deserves every support, and we could not think of a better partner than TRC Health & Hygiene, who are also big supporters of the community and are helping to fight the COVID-19 virus by manufacturing, sourcing and supplying a quality range of health and hygiene products. Helping supply the demand for quality PPE and keeping people safe has become the current mission of the team at Towcester and our FEP students are proud to display their logo."

Nathan Luke McLaren, Events Director for TRC Health & Hygiene added: "We are extremely confident in the programme and proud to be sponsors of the Northampton Town Football & Education programme, we understand the importance of education in sport and the things that can be achieved with such support."
