COMMUNITY TRUST LAUNCH SPORTING MEMORIES PROJECT TO HELP TACKLE LONELINESS

Sessions to take place, initially online, twice a week

10 November 2020

The Northampton Town FC Community Trust are running a brand-new programme called Sporting Memories!

Sporting Memories is a project that looks to engage older adults within the Northamptonshire area, focusing on the history of Northampton Town Football Club and other local sporting clubs and grounds. Sessions include a history of the County Ground as well as the best teams of the Dave Bowen era! Sessions will also focus on the recent Northampton Town results in the form of weekly post-match chats.

The programme will initially be virtual only due to current Government guidelines. The virtual format will take place over Zoom. Once the current guidelines are eased the session will look to start other meeting methods, such as walking groups around various locations within Northamptonshire, even including some current sporting grounds!

Sessions will take place twice a week, being held on a Wednesday from 12:00pm to 1:00pm and on a Thursday from 2:00pm to 3:00pm.

If you would like to join in and take part in these sessions, or you know someone who may wish to join us please get in touch!
