NO FRESH INJURY CONCERNS AS COBBLERS PREPARE TO MEET ACCRINGTON STANLEY

Keith Curle's thoughts ahead of Saturday's game with Accrington Stanley

13 November 2020

Cobblers boss Keith Curle has no fresh injury concerns heading into this weekend's home fixture with Accrington Stanley.

“Players who were out injured in the early weeks of the season, have now had a good bank of game time,” he said.

“We’ve got a competitive squad and it was disappointing on Monday night that some players who have been looking to force their way into the team didn’t perform when given the opportunity.

“We’ve got an honest group and sometimes that honesty leads to being able to accept criticism. Our decision making on Monday night was poor, too many of the players didn’t do their jobs and they know if they get another opportunity they need to do better. We have taken everything on the chin about Monday night and now we move forward and look to Saturday."

When asked about Chris Lines absence from the current squad Curle added:

“Chris had a personal matter that has taken him out of contention unfortunately.”
