KEITH CURLE SETS HIS SIDE LATEST CHALLENGE AHEAD OF VISIT OF MK DONS

The Cobblers boss looks ahead to Tuesday evening

Cobblers boss Keith Curle has set his side another challenge as they prepare for Tuesday night’s home fixture with MK Dons.

“There are going to be lots of milestones for us to tick off this season and we want back-to-back wins,” he said.

“We are still learning about the division and ourselves as a group but we are enjoying the education that we are having and as I’ve said before we don’t shy away from anything.

“MK Dons have got their style of play and a philosophy and it can be very pleasing on the eye. I think they are still trying to get the balance right in terms of possession and creating chances but I like to watch the way they play and they have got some very good individual strengths. They have got a good team ethic but, like all teams, they have weaknesses as well.

“Our mindset is that we want to win games and to do that we need to put more entries into the final third as well as tightening up as a defensive unit.

“We need to have a philosophy but within that we need to be flexible and adaptable, if a team wants to play we can play but if a team wants to go toe-to-toe we can do that as well.”
