CLUB DONATE FOOD AND DRINK TO NORTHAMPTON HOPE CENTRE

Items donated to support club charity partner

12 May 2020

Northampton Town Football Club have donated unused food and drink to the Northampton Hope Centre.

The food and drink, which hasn't been used because of the suspension of football due to the Covid-19 outbreak, was collected by the Northampton Hope Centre on Monday afternoon.

"We carried out a stock check and sorted through a number of items that our bars and kiosks won't be using," said Chief Executive James Whiting.

"We wanted to put those items to good use so we have donated them to the Northampton Hope Centre.

"The items included snacks and nutrigrain bars, plus water, fizzy drinks and other soft drinks.

"These are difficult times for everyone and we hope they can help the Hope Centre and their users in some way."

Louise Danielczuk, Fundraising and Marketing Manager for the Northampton Hope Centre said: "The Covid-19 crisis has seen a huge increase in the number of people we as a charity are supporting and donations like these help us ensure that we can continue to support those in need and help end hunger across Northampton.

"Our thanks go to the Cobblers for their continued support of the Northampton Hope Centre.”
