This new Volunteer Coach Academy offers young people with a FREE training and development programme and the opportunity to volunteer in their local community.
The Academy will provide a bespoke programme of training which will be equip each volunteer to take youth sports volunteering up to an entirely new level.
Course learning outcomes:
• Be able to identify the roles and responsibilities of a sports volunteer
• Understand the importance of volunteering in sport
• Understand the principles of creating and delivering a session
• Development of skills and qualities - Confidence, speaking to groups, Presenting
There will be an induction evening on Tuesday 10th March at the Pemberton Centre from 6.00pm to 7.00pm and the Waendal Leisure Centre Thomas St, Wellingborough NN8 1DZ from 6.00pm to 7.00pm.
Training will be held at the Pemberton Centre, Bates Way, Rushden NN10 9YP on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th April 2020.
