Cobblers boss Keith Curle says that he is keeping an open mind on when this season's nine remaining fixtures will be played.
All games have been suspended until at least April 3rd and Curle has said that whenever things do get going again, as long as it is deemed safe, it is important the season is played to a natural conclusion, and not crammed in to a very short space of time.
"Within the next ten days things should become clearer in terms of the schedule moving forward," he said.
"We are a sporting organisation whereby to get the maximum benefit for players and spectators, we can't squeeze too many games in to too short a period but we do have room to extend the season and maybe play until the end of May if we need to.
"I am sure the EFL will be looking at that, but the main thing of course is to protect the health and safety of everyone involved."
