Cobblers boss Keith Curle believes the season has to be completed whenever that is and however it happens.
He supports the commitment made by the EFL to play to a conclusion.
“The season needs to have a finale,” he said.
“We have to have an end to the season even if that means a delay to the start of next season.
“Ideally the season finishes by the end of June because of contract situations but we have to follow the guidelines from the Government and the footballing bodies.
“If we have to finish the season behind closed doors then maybe we have to do that.
“In somebody’s eyes, whatever decisions are made some may disagree with but those decisions have to be made for the betterment of the whole sport.”
