The Cobblers boss looks ahead to Saturday's visit from Mansfield Town

5 March 2020

Cobblers boss Keith Curle feels his side are well-placed with ten games to go.

Northampton Town are sixth in the League 2 table, and Curle feels they are right in the hunt for promotion.

“We are in a good position and even in the games we’ve lost recently I don’t think there would have been too many complaints if those results had been reversed,” he said.

“The Cheltenham game could have gone either way, the Swindon goalkeeper made three excellent saves and against Port Vale we did everything but score.

“Every manager and every fan could look back at what ifs but our focus is always on the next game.

“There are going to be twists and turns with all the teams above us but what we’ve got to do is make sure we keep our own house in order.

“Teams have got to play each other and we’ve just got to focus on each game in isolation.

“Our aim at the beginning of the season was to finish in the top ten but once you are in that top ten anything can happen.”
