KEITH CURLE - 'THIS TIE IS NOT OVER'

Cobblers boss speaking ahead of Monday's second leg at Cheltenham

21 June 2020

Cobblers boss Keith Curle says that the play off semi final with Cheltenham Town is far from over as he prepares his squad for Monday night's second leg at the Jonny Rocks Stadium.

The Robins are in the driving seat with a two goal lead from the first leg, but Curle says there is plenty of football to be played yet.

“2-0 can be a difficult lead to defend,” he said.

“Things didn’t quite drop for us on Thursday night but on Monday night we have to believe they will.

“If we can get that first goal on Monday night then it really sets things up.

“There are more goals to be had in this tie and I think you will see that on Monday night."

The Cobblers boss says everyone came through Thursday's tie unscathed and he has a full squad to choose from on Monday night.

“Callum Morton had a bit of an issue with a hamstring when football was suspended that took him a while to overcome and I took him off on Thursday as more of a precaution. I need him on Monday night and we will have Sam Hoskins available as well.

“There is still all to play for and the tie is far from over. We will be giving it everything and we have to have the confidence and belief we can turn it around.”
