PLAY OFF CLARIFICATION IS EXCELLENT NEWS FOR KEITH CURLE

Cobblers boss on looking ahead to facing Cheltenham Town

10 June 2020

Northampton Town manager Keith Curle is delighted the play offs are now official, and he has praised the way the club has handled matters so far.

The Cobblers will play Cheltenham Town in the two legged play off semi final, with the first leg at the PTS Academy Stadium on Thursday June 18th at 7.45pm.

“We needed that clarification and to have everything now ratified is good news,” he said.

“The information, clarity and transparency from the top of the football club has been brilliant all the way along and I think the club have got to take a lot of credit for that.

“We have had to create a new 'normal' for the players but the lines of communication have been really good right from the word go.

“We are looking at the play-offs as a mini tournament and the players will be ready for that. We are trying to get the balance right in training between physical, technical and tactical elements and the players fitness results have been very good from day one when they came back."
