Cobblers boss Keith Curle felt his side could have deserved more as he reflected on Thursday night’s play off semi-final first leg against Cheltenham Town.
“We put the ball in the box and asked questions," he said.
"Their keeper did well and on another night we get the run of the ball, and we maybe get more than the one penalty award.
“We won’t change the way we play and we will keep asking questions of Cheltenham.
“You have to give Cheltenham credit, they stood up to it tonight but they know on another night we get the run of the ball and the scoreline could have been different.
“We started both halves on the front foot and I can’t fault the effort, commitment and mentality of the players.
“I’m disappointed we didn’t get the goals tonight but we will score goals and in a two legged affair there is time for things to turn our way.”
